چکیده

The kinetics of thermal decomposition of AlIII -, CrIII -, FeIII ,CeIII and LaIII -alginate complexes have been studied using thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermogravimetry (DTG) techniques in static air. However, the TG curves showed three distinct stages of weight loss, the DTG curves indicated the presence of a series of thermal peaks associated with the TG curves. The results reveal that the thermal decomposition of each complex proceeds by dehydration of four coordinated water molecules in the first step whereas the decomposition of the formed dehydrated complexes occurs in the following two steps, respectively. The kinetic parameters were computed by a set of different models and a tentative decomposition mechanism in good consistent with the kinetic observations is discussed.

Enantioselective Release Behavior of Ketoprofen Enantiomers from Alginate-metal Complexes, Monitored by Chiral HPLC

Alginate-metal complexes were prepared with divalent (Ca, Ba, Zn) and trivalent metals (Fe, Al) via congealing method in form of beads. Alginate mixed metals (Ca & Fe) complexes were also prepared by simultaneous and consecutive congealing. The studied beads were blank beads and racemic ketoprofen (KTP) loaded beads. Metal content was determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy and was 1.8% to...

STUDY ON THE COMPLEX FORMATION BETWEEN N-PROPYLSALICYLIDENE BASED ON SILICA AS ION EXCHANGER AND SOME TRANSITION METAL IONS

N-propylsalicylidene based on silica as ion exchanger (IE) was used for the separation by complexation of Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Hg2+, Cr3+, Fe3+, and UO22+ from their parent solutions. IE and its metal complexes are characterized by elemental analysis, electronic and infrared spectra, in addition to thermal analysis in atmospheric pressure. The mode of chelation and the proposed geometric str...

Synthesis and Kinetics of Thermal Decomposition of Metal Complexes of 2,5-dihydroxy-1,4-benzoquinone

Solid metal complexes of Cu(II), Ag(I), Y(III) and UO2(II) with 2,5-Dihydroxy-1,4-benzoquinone are reported on the basis of elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and electronic absorption spectroscopic studies. The mechanism of dehydration and decomposition of the complexes are reported, together with the determination of the kinetic parameters: Z, E and S* by non-isothermal methods. The first-s...
